The Cotton POP App is designed to assist growers determine the planter uniformity and population density of an established plant stand. The Scanning function calculates the number of seedlings per meter, the average spacing and standard deviation between plants. The Plant Population calculator calculates the number of plants per ha. This data helps growers measure planting performance, and to determine if re-plant might be required. Also helpful to benchmark establishment performance from one year to the next.
The Cotton POP App is a FastStart™ tool, and another example of Syngenta and Cotton Seed Distributors working together for the benefit of Australian cotton growers.
